POLICIES

The following policies apply to all service providers in the salon. Be advised that our independent technicians my have additional policies in place. Prior to booking an appointment with our team, you agree to the following policies.

TL;DR

Late Policy:

10 or more minutes late = late fee.

15 or more minutes late = late fee OR cancellation charge if we cannot complete the service in the allotted time.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations less than 48 hours in advance = 50% scheduled service charge to your card on file.

Children Policy:

Do not bring a child to the salon, no exceptions. We do not work on clients under 16 years of age.

Guest Policy:

No extra guests.

Sick Policy:

Do not come in when you are starting to feel sick, are sick, or are recently recovering from being sick.

Our policies are explained in more detail below. If you have any questions, please reach out to the owner, Eric, directly via the text-line.

Late Policy:

If you expect to be late, let your technician know via our text-line or contact them directly. Clients that arrive 10 or more minutes late will have a late fee added to their final bill. If you are later than 15 minutes, the appointment may be cancelled and you’ll be charged the appropriate cancellation fee.

Cancellation Policy:

Our team works really hard to be at the salon on time and prepared for you. We ask for a 48-hour notice of cancellation when possible. It gives our team members the necessary time to fill that appointment slot with another client.

Any cancellations within the 48-hour window will include cancellation fees.

Children Policy:

Back Alley Nails is a space by adults for adults. We do not offer “kid services” nor are we a “kid friendly” space.

Our decor is not Fischer Price and our conversations do not echo those of Mr. Rogers. Nail enhancements services on underage children are tacky and not appropriate. We do not provide services to those under the age of 16.

Do not bring your kids, your friend’s kids, your family’s kids, some kid you found on the street — we mean it, no kids, seriously.

Clients who bring a child to the salon will not receive their scheduled service(s) and will be charged the associated cancellation charges.

Guest Policy:

Our salon includes seating for our team and our clients. Please leave your friends and family at home, trust us. It gives us more time to focus on an efficient and well-executed service that’s all about you.

Sick Policy:

As service-based workers, our paychecks rely on our ability to show up healthy to work and perform our best. Please contact us as soon as you’re not feeling well - life happens. You can contact the team via the text-line or contact your technician directly.

If we suspect that you’re contagious at the time of your appointment, our team reserves the right to deny service to anyone at any time. Our health is crucial to our ability to do our jobs, and our health comes first.

The Back Alley Nails team commits to not working while sick - if we’re starting to feel under the weather, we follow the same rules.

Excessive cancellations, rescheduling, and tardiness may result in being removed from the Back Alley Nails client list.
